ARLAUD

Located in Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Arlaud is one of Burgundy's most prestigious terroirs, in the heart of the Côte des Nuits. For three generations, the Arlaud family has cultivated its vines with respect for the land and the wine. This demanding approach has enabled the domaine to produce a number of exceptional red wines. These include four Grands Crus de Bourgogne and eight Premiers Crus.

The commune of Morey-Saint-Denis is also home to the domaine's winery and cellar. The domaine also owns parcels of Pinot Noir in Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. Finally, Domaine Arlaud cultivates parcels of Chardonnay in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits terroir.

Domaine Arlaud wines

The domaine's vines are cultivated biodynamically. Each plot of Grand Cru or Premier Cru is ploughed by horse. The grapes are left to macerate without crushing. Natural fermentation lasts around twenty days. During pressing, press wine and free-run wine are separated. The red wines are bottled without fining or filtration.

Domaine Arlaud produces four red wines classified as Grands Crus de Bourgogne. Three are from climats located in Morey-Saint-Denis. These are the Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis and Bonnes-Mares Grands Crus. The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from Gevrey-Chambertin. Five of the estate's Premiers Crus are in the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation. The other three are in the Chambolle-Musigny appellation.

In the Village appellation, Maison Arlaud offers Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. In white wines, the domaine produces Bourgogne Aligoté and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. In red Burgundy, the domaine offers its Roncevie cuvée, as well as Bourgogne Passetoutgrain.
