TRIMBACH
Domaine Trimbach is the story of the worldwide renown of Alsace wines. since 1626, 13 generations of the family have succeeded one another in creating exceptional cuvées and establishing the international reputation of Alsace wine.
The famous Clos Sainte Hune cuvée embodies this family history. The 1.67 hectares of this Grand Cru are cultivated according to the Trimbach values of excellence, rigor, sharing, transmission and energy. There is a Trimbach style defined by the balance achieved by each of the estate's wines. Today, 85% of the company's wines are sold internationally.
Geographical location of Domaine Trimbach
Domaine Trimbach's vineyards cover 60 hectares spread over 50 parcels. The birthplace of the estate is Ribeauvillé , in the heart of Alsace AOC. The estate's plots are located on the geological fracture of Ribeauvillé. Protected from the rains by the Vosges mountains, the hills shelter vines that are ideally south-facing.
According to the Trimbach family, the quality of the wine is already in the grapes. The fruit comes from vines that flourish on limestone or clay-limestone soils. Each terroir remains unique, however, and contributes to the specificity of each cuvée. Grape quality also relies on respect for biodiversity. Our own vineyards and grape purchases are organic.
Domaine Trimbach wines
Domaine Trimbach offers 5 ranges of wines from 8 different grape varieties. The red wine comes from Pinot Noir. The white wines are mainly Riesling, but also Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Noir or Blanc, Sylvaner and Muscat.
