GIRARDIN VINCENT

With over 70 Burgundy appellations, Domaine Vincent Girardin has forged a reputation for excellence. Founded in 1980 in Santenay, the domaine has gradually expanded across the finest appellations of the Côte de Beaune. Today, based in Meursault, it has developed an important activity as a négociant éleveur. This enables him to offer no less than seven Grands Crus and around thirty Premiers Crus de Bourgogne.

Location of Domaine Vincent Girardin

Domaine Vincent Girardin has 30 hectares of vines in the Côte de Beaune. These Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines are spread over nine villages. The historic heart of the estate is located in Santenay and Meursault. Its vineyards also extend to Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Volnay and Pommard. In the northern Côte de Beaune region, the domaine has vineyards in Savigny-Lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton.

Domaine Vincent Girardin wines

Domaine Vincent Girardin wines come from vines grown using sustainable agriculture methods. Grapes are hand-picked and sorted on the vine. Red wines are partially destemmed. To age the wines, the domaine uses between 10 and 35% new barrels, depending on the cuvée. The wines are then aged on fine lees. Ageing lasts between 14 and 20 months for white wines and 16 to 18 months for red wines.

Domaine Vincent Girardin's appellations are too numerous to mention. Among the most prestigious in Côte de Beaune are Grands Crus Corton-Charlemagne, Corton, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet. The domaine also produces Premiers Crus in the Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet, Maranges, Meursault, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, Saint-Aubin, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Volnay appellations.

In Côte de Nuits, the domaine offers the Grands Crus Charmes-Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot. Finally, in the southern Burgundy appellations, the domaine produces a Pouilly-Fuissé Vieille Vignes.
