BOILLOT HENRI
Henri Boillot is one of Burgundy's finest winemakers. His domaine was founded by his grandfather in 1885 in Volnay. It is located in the southern part of the Côte de Beaune. Henri Boillot joined his father Jean's estate in 1975, starting his apprenticeship and working his way up through the ranks. He was a forerunner of ultra-refined vineyards. Today, he works with his son Guillaume. This duo brings modernity and excellence to the ageing of white and red Burgundy wines. Domaine Boillot's Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Volnay wines are acclaimed by connoisseurs.
Geographical location of Domaine Henri Boillot
Domaine Henri Boillot covers 14 hectares. Seven are devoted to white Burgundy wines. The remaining parcels are reserved for Côte de Beaune red wines. Domaine Boillot's vineyards are located in the communes of Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Volnay. Cultivated on limestone soils alternating with marl or schist beds, they benefit from an oceanic climate with a semi-continental influence. This favors their growth and contributes to the creation of great white and red wines such as Puligny-Montrachet premier cru Les Perrières and Volnay premier cru Les Caillerets.
Domaine Henri Boillot wines
Domaine Boillot's white wines are divided between two terroirs. Puligny-Montrachet premier cru (Clos de la Mouchère, Les Perrières or Les Pucelles) and Meursault premier cru (Clos Richemont, Les Genevrières or Les Gouttes d'Or). Domaine Henri Boillot's red wines include Volnay premier cru (Les Caillerets, Les Chevrets, Les Fremiets) and Pommard premier cru Clos Blanc. Henri Boillot offers exceptional red and white wines. White wines include Chevalier-Montrachet grand cru, Corton-Charlemagne grand cru and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet grand cru. For reds, Boillot grands crus such as Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Bonnes Mares or Latricières-Chambertin are essential Burgundy wines.
