HUDELOT-NOELLAT
The Hudelot-Noëllat estate was founded in 1962 by Alain Hudelot. It is now run by Charles Van Canneyt, his grandson. The latter is part of the rising generation of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. An advocate of reasoned vine-growing, Charles also practises low-intervention winemaking. He combines ancestral and modern techniques, allowing each terroir to express itself fully. This rigorous approach enables Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat to produce elegant, delicate wines. The grand crus Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Clos de Vougeot are perfect examples. The village appellations of Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Bas de Combes, Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny are also of outstanding quality.
Geographical location of Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat
Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat is part of the Côte de Nuits. This is one of the most prestigious parts of the Burgundy vineyard. The estate extends over ten hectares through the villages of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot and Chambolle-Musigny. Here, each red wine comes from a single parcel of vines. As a result, it can develop its own character, depending on soil, exposure and the meticulous care given to each vine. This traditional approach has resulted in remarkable wines such as Vosne-Romanée premiers crus Les Malconsorts and Les Suchots, Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes and Clos de Vougeot.
