TREMBLAY CECILE

Cécile Tremblay created her domaine in 2003, taking over 4 hectares of family vines. These came from a vineyard that had been cultivated from generation to generation since 1921. The young woman was just 25 years old at the time. Her convictions were strong: wine must be made in a spirit of harmony. Vines, soils and their environment can only flourish in a virtuous system.

In 2005, Domaine Cécile Tremblay converted to organic and biodynamic viticulture. The results are there for all to see. Cécile Tremblay accompanies and reveals her terroirs to produce Burgundy wines that are now renowned.

Location of Domaine Cécile Tremblay

In 2013, Domaine Cécile Tremblay moved from Vosne-Romanée to new facilities in Morey-Saint-Denis. The 4-hectare vineyard extends over prestigious Côte de Nuits communes: Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and, of course, Vosne-Romanée and Morey-Saint-Denis. In 2022, Cécile Tremblay enlarged her estate with the integration of new family vineyards: 2.5 hectares of Vosne Romanée Premier Cru Beaumonts and a few rows of Clos Vougeot Grand Cru.

The size of the plots is small, but allows for meticulous vineyard work. The domaine's Grand Cru Chapelle-Chambertin comes from a 0.36-hectare parcel of 80-year-old vines south of Gevrey-Chambertin.
