DE VOGÜE

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé has belonged to the Ladoucette family since the middle of the 15th century. The current owners come after twenty generations. They inherited the estate and its vineyards in 2002, on the death of their mother Elizabeth. She had been at the head of this emblematic Burgundy wine estate for many years. The Ladoucettes rely on their mastery of the vine and the quality of their cuvées to establish their reputation.

Location of Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé

Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is located on the prestigious Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. It specializes in the Musigny appellation , devoting 7.2 hectares to it. Vines in Chambolle-Musigny and Bonnes-Mares complete the domaine's range. The village of Chambolle-Musigny is ideally suited to vine-growing. At an altitude of 300 meters, cracks in the limestone give direct access to the Jurassic subsoil. The sunshine on these sloping hillsides produces a list of exemplary Burgundy wines.

Oenologist François Millet ran Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé from 1986 to 2021. He has since been replaced by Jean Lupatelli. The two professionals share the same respect for the vines. Their wines are recognized for their regularity and refinement, with remarkable ageing potential.

The estate cultivates two-thirds of the vines in the Grand Cru Musigny appellation. This red wine, made from Pinot Noir grapes, is one of the most prestigious in Burgundy. The estate's old vines produce a remarkable cuvée in the Musigny Grand Cru appellation. The estate also produces a white Musigny made from Chardonnay. This cuvée of rare finesse is one of a kind. Added to this are the cuvées of Bonnes-Mares, a superb Grand Cru, and the Premier Cru Les Amoureuses.
