VOUGERAIE
Located in the Burgundy region of France, Domaine de la Vougeraie was built around a fine family history. It was founded in 1964 by Jean-Claude Boisset. He acquired his first parcel of vines, Les Evocelles, near Gevrey-Chambertin. In 1984, the domaine expanded into the Côte de Beaune, with thepurchase of the Vougeot vineyard. The purchase of Clos Blanc in 1999 gave birth to Domaine de la Vougeraie. This is a patchwork of prestigious plots, grouped around the Vougeraie, the family home. Today, Jean-Charles and Nathalie Boisset manage this family estate.
The geographical location of Domaine de la Vougeraie
Domaine de la Vougeraie is unique in that it comprises a mosaic of 67 parcels, covering 34 hectares. Two-thirds of the estate is in Côte de Nuits, and the remaining third in Côte de Beaune. Comprising 33 major appellations, its most emblematic wine is the Premier Cru Le Clos Blanc de Vougeot Monopole, made from Chardonnay. Converted to organic farming in 1999 and to biodynamic viticulture, the domaine's ambition is to work the vines in harmony with nature.
