LA PIERRE RONDE - ANTOINE LEPETIT DE LA BIGNE

Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne is passionate about wine. Since graduating from Polytechnique, he has been unravelling the threads that bind him to the usual destiny of a polytechnicien. As a young graduate, he worked unconvincingly in consulting for major companies. Then he finally got closer to his passion, successively obtaining a degree in agricultural engineering and the title of oenologist. In Alsace, he worked with Zind Humbrecht to develop a vintage. But his meeting in Puligny-Montrachet with Anne-Claude Leflaive, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy, was to prove decisive.

After Anne-Claude Leflaive's death, Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne accompanied Burgundy winegrowers in their conversion to biodynamic viticulture. He became a recognized expert in biodynamic Burgundy wines. In 2021, drawing on his experience and contacts, he decided to make his own wines. He created Domaine de la Pierre Ronde.

Geographical location of Domaine de la Pierre Ronde

Domaine de la Pierre Ronde wines are made from grapes certified organic or biodynamic. Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne rigorously selects his fruit from a network of local winegrowers. He advocates a more qualitative and environmentally-friendly viticulture. With this approach, he aims to produce wines that faithfully express their terroirs. Domaine de la Pierre Ronde is located in Beaune.

La Pierre Ronde wines

Domaine de la Pierre Ronde wines cover a wide range of Burgundy appellations around the Côte de Beaune. You can discover the Beaune Village appellation in red wine and the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune appellation in Chardonnay. The domaine also offers a Meursault Village lieu-dit Les Perchots appellation, and a Saint-Romain lieu-dit Les Jarrons. The Coteaux Bourguignons Jeunes Vignes appellation for white wines and the Bourgogne Pinot noir cuvée Amphore appellation round out Domaine de la Pierre Ronde's already rich offering.
