ROUMIER LAURENT

It was in 1924 that Georges Roumier created his Domaine viticole in Burgundy. His grandson, Laurent Roumier, inherited part of the estate, to which he gave his name in 1991.
From 4 hectares at the outset, the estate now covers 12 hectares.
Laurent has created a discreet estate, producing red wines and a white appellation with passion. Thanks to sustainable agriculture, the producer perpetuates natural, old-fashioned viticulture, without fertilizers or pesticides.

Geographical location

Laurent Roumier's vineyards are located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, in the Chambolle-Musigny and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits appellations. The Domaine's vineyards cover 6.4 hectares, producing Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Chambolle-Musigny Village. The white Hautes-Côtes de Nuits la Poirelotte production remains very discreet.

Estate wines

Hautes-Côtes de Nuits La Poirelotte has a golden yellow color and a long, fruity finish. Fresh and very expressive on tasting, this bottle with its scents of lemon, apple and hazelnut offers a fat, fruity mouthfeel. Such are the roots of this wine, from a small parcel known as "La Poirelotte". Laurent's wines are now widely recognized as fine and elegant, expressing the mythical terroirs of the Côte de Nuits.
