DROUHIN-LAROZE

Domaine Laroze was founded in 1850, in Gevrey-Chambertin, thanks to the work of Jean-Baptiste Laroze. Later, his granddaughter married Alexandre Drouhin, then owner of vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny. Today, Philippe and Christine Drouhin, supported by their children Caroline and Nicolas, are at the helm of this precious heritage. Domaine Drouhin-Laroze produces Pinot Noir in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region. Each bottle of red wine is the fruit of passionate, reasoned and rigorous work. Each year, father and son Drouhin adapt to the climates. They listen carefully to their vines and terroirs, aiming for vintage perfection in each appellation.

Geographical location of Domaine Drouhin-Laroze

Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, between Beaune and Dijon. The vines cover a total of 11.5 hectares, spread over several communes. Most of the Pinot Noir parcels are located between the communes of Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Morey-Saint-Denis. The diversity of soils and climates gives each bottle of red wine a unique flavor on the palate. In Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Drouhin-Laroze owns a 0.44-hectare parcel of land at Au Closeau. This represents 80% of the appellation. The domaine therefore benefits from near-exclusivity of the Premier Cru Au Closeau appellation.

The domaine also boasts four Premiers Crus in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, including Lavaux-Saint-Jacques and Clos Prieur. The domaine is also active in the wine trade, under the name Maison Laroze de Drouhin.
