LAPALU JEAN CLAUDE

Jean-Claude Lapalu was a cooperator until 1996. He set up on his own this year, and now has over 9 ha in Beaujolais, which he sometimes supplements with grape purchases. His viticulture is organic (Ecocert), even if he doesn't put the label on his wines. For him, you shouldn't buy a label, you should buy wine! Likewise, he insists on natural vinification with no sulfur or as little sulfur as possible at bottling. His estate is located in St Etienne la Varenne, and covers the Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly appellations. Praised by Robert Parker and Jancis Robinson (no less), his wines are rich, intense and long-lasting!
