BACHELET JEAN-CLAUDE

Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet is faithful to a great idea of Burgundy wine. From father to son since the 17th century, respect for the land has underpinned the creation of exceptional wines. Benoît and Jean-Baptiste Bachelet took over the running of the estate after the death of their father Jean-Claude in 2020.

No weedkillers had been used since 2000, and the Bachelet brothers have stepped up the virtuous dynamic. This is an estate that raises healthy grapes for moderate yields.

Geographical location of Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet

The Bachelet family estate is located in the wine-growing commune of Saint-Aubin. It is close to the villages of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet. The vineyards extend over 10 hectares on the Côte de Beaune. 6 hectares produce white wine from Chardonnay grapes. The red wine is made from Burgundy Pinot Noir.

The vines thrive on clay-limestone soil. They benefit from east or southeast exposure around the villages of Saint-Aubin and Chassagne-Montrachet. Some of the vines on the Domaine des Fils Bachelet date back to 1927.
