MILLOT JEAN-MARC
Domaine Jean-Marc Millot benefits from beautiful climates in the heart of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. These terroirs enable it to offer several prestigious appellations, including several Grands Crus de Bourgogne. This family estate was taken over a few years ago by Alix Millot. In a short space of time, the young woman has made her mark, producing wines as fine as they are elegant.
Location of Domaine Jean-Marc Millot
Domaine Jean-Marc Millot is located in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Its vineyards cover an area of eight hectares, on some of the finest climates in the Côte-d'Or. The majority of the domaine's plots are in the Côte de Nuits, in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Flagey-Échezeaux and Vougeot. They are planted with Pinot Noir grapes. In Côte de Beaune, the domaine's plots are in Savigny-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, including a few planted with Chardonnay.
Domaine Jean-Marc Millot wines
The vines of Domaine Jean-Marc Millot are grown using sustainable agriculture methods. The grapes are harvested by hand. The Pinot Noir is completely destemmed. Natural fermentation is preceded by a long cold maceration. The wines are aged for around 12 months, depending on the vintage and appellation. The wines are neither fined nor filtered before bottling.
Domaine Jean-Marc Millot produces mainly red wines, including three prestigious Grands Crus: Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Échezeaux Grand Cru and Grands Échezeaux Grand Cru. Alongside these wines, the domaine offers a Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots. The Village appellation includes Vosne-Romanée, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Côte de Nuits-Villages Aux Faulques and Côte de Nuits-Villages Vieilles Vignes. The domaine's range of red wines is rounded out by a Bourgogne Rouge.
In white wine, Domaine Jean-Marc Millot produces just one appellation, but one of the most outstanding in Burgundy: Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru.
