COCHE FABIEN

This family estate was founded in 1940 under the name Coche-Bizouard. In 2005, Fabien Coche took over the reins of the winery. The refined touch brought by this passionate winemaker has enabled the domaine to distinguish itself among Burgundy wine producers. More than half the vines are over 60 years old. The grapes are grown using traditional methods to preserve the soil. The domaine will receive the organic farming label in 2020.

Geographical location of Domaine Fabien Coche

Domaine Fabien Coche covers 12 hectares in the Côte-d'Or region. The vines are planted in the communes of Meursault, Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie, Saint-Romain, Saint-Aubin and Puligny-Montrachet. The town of Meursault, cradle of the great white wines of Burgundy, is home to the estate's cellars.

South of the Côte de Beaune, Chardonnay vines planted on the eastern slopes of the Meursault commune benefit from ideal sun exposure. On the higher ground, the vines take root in the rock. The plots in the middle of the vineyard are characterized by very rich soil. Lower down, the soil is less dry. This diversity of terroir, combining clay, limestone and marl, contributes to the variety of Domaine Fabien Coche wines.
