ABBATUCCI

Founded in the 60s, Domaine Abbatucci has delighted the taste buds of wine lovers down the ages. An emblematic South Corsican family for over 100 years, the Abbatucci family has shared a common passion for viticulture from generation to generation. This passion, which has evolved into a real heritage, has been cultivated and nurtured over these many years, and wine-making know-how has become a true family heirloom. The Abbatucci conservatory has become a veritable treasure trove for Corsica, and more specifically for the Taravo valley. Initiated by Antoine Abbatucci during the reign of Napoléon III, the family business was elevated to the top by biodynamicist Jean-Charles Abbatucci, who took the project forward in the face of the economic, demographic and cultural upsurge on the Isle of Beauty.

The Domaine's geographical location

With a density of 3,500 vines per hectare, and a varied range of white grape varieties (Barbarossa, Carcajolo Bianco, Genovese, Rossola Brandinca et Bianca, Riminese, Paga Debbiti, Brustiano, Bianco gentile, Biancone) and red grape varieties (Carcajolo Nera, Montanaccia, Morescola, Morescono, Minustello, Aleatico), the vineyard is one of the oldest, with 18 types of grape. Since its creation, the vineyard has been committed to maintaining a 100% Corsican essence, preserving authentic flavors and aromas specific to the region of origin. In particular, it has adopted totally natural, ecological and above all biodynamic growing methods to maintain the quality of the soil and encourage the perpetuation of vine-growing in the family.
