SANDRONE LUCIANO

Domaine Luciano Sandrone was founded in 1978 in Piedmont, Italy. Luciano Sandrone began his career as a cellar master at Marchesi di Barolo. In 1977, he bought his first hectares of Cannubi Boschis vines and prepared his first cuvées in his parents' garage. Gradually, he extended the estate to include several plots: Cannubi Boschis, Villero and Vignane. Luciano Sandrone became a major name in Italian wine.

Domaine Luciano Sandrone is located in the heart of the village of Barolo, in Piedmont, Italy. It covers 27 hectares of vineyards, planted in the Langhe and Roero regions. The grape varieties grown are Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera. Nebbiolo is a demanding grape variety. It needs little rain and optimal exposure. It is perfectly suited to the continental climate of the Piedmont region. Yields are low and vine care is intensive.

Luciano Sandrone Estate wines

The grape varieties typical of the region are grown without the use of pesticides. Vinification respects theidentity of each terroir. Aging begins in large, traditional Barolo barrels, then continues in barrels with wood adapted to each wine.

The estate produces red wine in theBarolo appellation. Nebbolio is the main grape variety in this appellation. Other wines include Barolo Cannubi Boschis, now Barolo Aleste, and Barolo Le Vigne. The estate's wine list includes three other cuvées: Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba. Domaine Luciano Sandrone wines are world-renowned for their quality. They are distinguished by the intensity of their fruit and the softness of their tannins.
