CHÂTEAU RAUZAN-SÉGLA

Château Rauzan-Ségla produces a Margaux red Bordeaux wine.Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan acquired the Maison noble de Gassies in 1661. In 1903, Frédéric Cruse and his family bought the property. They were responsible for the estate's transformation. Chanel (Wertheimer family) has owned Domaine de Ségla since 1994. Château Rauzan-Ségla is one of the oldest estates in Margaux. It has produced a Second Growth wine since 1855. These Médoc wines have theMargaux Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée. The vineyard remains one of the finest in Margaux.

Geographical location of Château Rauzan-Ségla

Château Rauzan-Ségla is located in Margaux, Gironde. This Bordeaux wine benefits from a rich soil composed of fine gravel, sand and small pebbles. The vines for this Margaux appellation red wine are located near the Gironde estuary, on clay-limestone soils. The grapes are hand-picked to keep them whole. The specificity of the vines on this estate enables us to produce exceptional, top-quality cuvées.

Château Rauzan-Ségla wines

Château Rauzan-Ségla produces two red wines. The first, Château Rauzan-Ségla, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Tasting this Margaux red wine offers a fruity bouquet with notes of red fruit. Vintages reach their peak after several years. To celebrate the 350th anniversary of Château Rauzan-Ségla, Karl Lagerfeld designed a vintage label at the request of Chanel. The second wine of Château Rauzan-Ségla is Ségla. It is available for tasting immediately. This red wine is both greedy and fruity, perfect for discovering this Médoc appellation.
