CHÂTEAU PAPE CLEMENT

For several years, Bernard Magrez shares Château Pape Clément with Théo Montagne. Château Pape Clément became the property of Bernard Magrez in 1983. However, he left the management to Patrick Hateau. The estate has produced a Graves Grand Cru Classé since 1959. This Bordeaux wine enthusiast works his vineyard with the greatest respect. Harvesting is done by hand when the grapes are ripe. Oenologist Michel Rolland provides expert advice.

Location of Château Pape Clément

Château Pape Clément is located in Pessac, near Bordeaux. The vineyard covers 60 hectares of exceptional soil. The vines are divided into three parcels surrounding the property. Some vines are planted on clay-limestone soil, others on gravelly-sandy soil. Château Pape Clément's oceanic climate enables it to produce a quality wine. Frosts come late and the harvest is carried out with ripe grapes.

Château Pape Clément wines

Château Pape Clément offers two red and two white wines. The Graves Grand Cru Classé, Château Pape Clément, is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This Bordeaux wine has a ruby-red color, with notes of fruit, flowers and spices.
