ROY ELODIE

Élodie Roy now runs the eponymous domaine in Cheilly-lès-Maranges, Burgundy. In 2018, she took over her father's and grandfather's vineyards with the desire to stand on her own two feet. Élodie spent eleven years of her professional career working withAnne Gros at Vosne-Romanée in the Côtes de Nuits region.

After completing her legal studies and training in international trade in wines and spirits, she learned her trade in the vineyards and cellars. Back on her family's land in the Côtes de Beaune region, she cultivates around ten hectares of vines according to the principles ofsustainable agriculture.

Geographical location of Domaine Élodie Roy

Domaine Élodie Roy covers some ten hectares in Cheilly-lès-Maranges and Santenay, in the south of the Côte de Beaune, close to the Côte Châlonnaise. The vineyards produce white and red wines of seven different appellations. 85% of the vineyards are planted with Pinot Noir, the rest with Chardonnay and Aligoté. Some of the vines are harvested quite late, for wines of good ripeness. Élodie works the vines with respect for the plant and the terroir. She is an enthusiast of natural grassing on medium-high vines. She adjusts the percentage of whole grape harvest according to climate and harvest.

Domaine Élodie Roy has been marketing its wines since 2019. It offers a varied range of white and red Burgundy wines, including a Premier Cru red wine: Santenay Les Gravières. For white Burgundy, you can choose between Bourgogne Aligoté Vieilles Vignes and Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune such as Maranges En Buliet. For red wines, in addition to Premier Cru, Domaine d'Élodie offers Bourgogne Rouge, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Bea une and Maranges La Rue Des Pierres.
