MOREY PIERRE

Present in Burgundy since the 16th century, the Morey family settled in Meursault in 1793. Pierre Morey's father started out as a tenant farmer. He looked after the prestigious Meursault vineyards. Pierre inherited his father's lease and also managed Domaine Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet. Alongside this activity, Pierre Morey developed his own domaine. For him, respect for the land and vines is important. That's why he converted his estate to biodynamic viticulture in 1997. His daughter, Anne Morey, joined him at this time. Following the end of tenant farming on certain estates, Pierre created the Morey-Blanc company in 1992. He then began a complementary activity as a wine merchant and breeder.
