CANTINA DEL PINO

The quality of Cantina del Pino wine in Italy is the result of a long history of family viticulture. Giuseppe Vacca bought the estate in the 1920s. The Vacca family worked the vines of one of Barbaresco's oldest estates. A pine tree was planted in the property's courtyard, giving it its name. It marks the highest point of the Ovello hill. Domaine Cantina Del Pino's approach to winemaking is rooted in a deep appreciation of terroir. It has been inherited from the Produttori del Barbaresco cooperative since 1997. Renato and Franca Vacca now run the estate.

Domaine Cantina del Pino wines

Domaine Cantina del Pino makes its red wines from classic Piedmont grape varieties. These include Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto. The Nebbiolo, combined with a great appreciation of the soil, produces Barbaresco wines with a delicate perfume. Elegant and ripe, these wines combine solid structure with wonderful balance. They feature notes of cherry and black pepper. Vintage after vintage, a bottle of Barbaresco Ovello is characterized by its elegance and intensity. The wine has an intense ruby-red color and notes of forest fruits. A bottle of Barbaresco Albesani is distinguished by its rich, enveloping roundness. It gives this wine structure and maturity, with notes of red fruit.
