BERTHAUT-GERBET

Domaine Berthaut has been around for centuries. In 2013, Amélie Berthaut-Gerbet took over the management of this Burgundy winery. Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet was created by combining the Berthaut vines with certain parcels of the Gerbet vineyard. Since 2017, Nicolas Faure, Amélie's husband, has been working on the family estate.

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet produces 90% red wines. Harvesting is done by hand, with respect for nature and the grapes. Denis and Amélie Berthaut-Gerbet respect the past and tradition of Burgundy's great terroirs. Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet produces Grands Crus and Premiers Crus de Bourgogne.

Geographical location of Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet is located in the village of Fixin, in the heart of Burgundy, on the Côte de Nuits. The vineyards extend over the communes of Gevrey-Chambertin, Flagey-Échezeaux, Vosne-Romanée and Clos de Vougeot. The Côte de Nuits soils are clay-limestone and marl. This part of the Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet vineyard enjoys a temperate climate with an oceanic tendency.

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet wines

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet produces mainly Premiers Crus and Grands Crus de Bourgogne red wines. Production is 100% Pinot Noir. This grape contributes a beautiful ruby color, as well as red fruit aromas for the Clos de Vougeot appellation. Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet highlights the distinctive, pronounced terroir of Côte de Nuits wines. The domaine produces a white wine in the Fixin appellation.
