DUBUET-BOILLOT
Although the grandson of a Corberon farmer and a Volnay winemaker, Maxime Dubuet Boillot's first passion was motor racing. However, the call of the terroir and wine brought him back to Burgundy. In 2016, BTS in viticulture in hand, he took over the vineyards of his maternal grandfather, Pierre Boillot. Today, he runs Domaine Dubuet Boillot with respect for the environment and the family tradition.
This young winemaker has a rightful place in our selection of great Burgundy wines. He perfectly embodies the young guard of the Côte de Beaune.
Geographical location of Domaine Dubuet Boillot
Domaine Dubuet Boillot covers 6.5 hectares in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. The estate's vineyards are located on the outstanding terroirs of Volnay, Pommard, Beaune and Monthélie, as well as in Sainte-Marie-la-Blanche. There are also a number of exceptional "lieux-dits" such as Les Riottes, Les Chanlins Bas, Carelle Sous La Chapelle and Les Pitures. The vines are traditionally worked by hand, and the estate is run under integrated farming methods. Maxime Dubuet Boillot also keeps a close eye on biodynamic viticulture, which he is moving towards.
Domaine Dubuet Boillot wines
Producing mainly red wines, where Pinot Noir is king, Domaine Dubuet Boillot wines are characterized by their finesse and authenticity. Premier Cru wines include Pitures and Carelle Sous La Chapelle in Volnay. Monthélie is home to Premier Cru Les Riottes. Pommard offers En Largillière and Les Chanlins Bas. Finally, Les Granges de Verbaut, in Sainte-Marie-la-Blanche, produces a pleasant, gourmet IGP cuvée.
The value of these wines doesn't wait for the number of years. Maxime Dubuet Boillot is undoubtedly one of Volnay' s young winemakers to watch with interest.
