BOUDIGNON THIBAULD

Domaine Thibaud Boudignon covers 4 hectares and is located in Savennières, Anjou, in the center of the Loire Valley. Created in 2008, it has already risen to the top of the appellation. Formerly a professional judoka, Thibaud Boudignon made his mark in the Burgundy vineyards, notably with Philippe Charlopin, but also in the Bordeaux region. He settled in Savennières and set up his modest domaine. Thibaud's determination, passion and extreme rigor for all aspects of the winemaking profession have made him one of the best in the Savennières appellation.

Geographical location of Domaine Thibaud Boudignon

In the Anjou region, and more specifically in Savennières, the shallow soils are composed of sandstone schist and volcanic veins or windblown sand. Vinification is carried out in barrels, and the wine is aged for an average of 9 months. The wines are 100% Chenin Blanc, cultivated according to the rules of organic farming. At Domaine Thibaud Boudignon, no stone is left unturned when it comes to residual sugars, oxidative notes and ageing, so as to sublimate the Chenin Blanc. The result is wines of impressive purity.

As a little anecdote, it was Thibaud himself who cleared and replanted this half-hectare plot on a small, south-facing hill.
