TRUCHETET MORGAN

In 2019, Morgan Truchetet takes over the eponymous family estate with his sister Julie and wife Pauline. The young winemaker and his team aim to make Domaine Truchetet an organic winegrowing operation by 2023. From now on, it's all about listening to the vines and adapting each year to produce excellent organic Burgundy wines.

Plant-based treatments and plant cover symbolize this departure from conventional viticulture. Their vision of winegrowing is expressed in the desire to restore energy to the soil and enhance the value of each terroir.

Geographical location of Domaine Truchetet Morgan

The Truchetet family estate is located in Premeaux-Prissey. It's a hamlet in Nuits-Saint-Georges, one of Burgundy's most famous villages. Organic vines flourish on the 6.5 hectares surrounding the estate. The soil geology is predominantly clay-limestone, but remains complex. This explains the diversity of Burgundy wines. Red wines are made from Pinot Noir, and whites from Bourgogne Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.

As well as running Domaine Truchetet, Morgan is developing a trading business under the Morgan Truchetet label. Grapes are purchased on the vine. And Morgan Truchetet ensures the highest standards of quality.

Domaine Truchetet Morgan wines

Domaine Truchetet's proprietary wines include red Coteaux Bourguignons Cuvée Hugo, Bourgogne Les Clusers and Les Chaillots, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits La Montagne and Côtes de Nuits Villages. Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes is made from vines dating back to 1924 and 1953.

In white wines, Domaine Truchetet produces two Bourgogne Aligoté, one Bourgogne Pinot Blanc, and one Hautes-Côtes-de-Nuits La Montagne. As a wine merchant, Domaine Truchetet Morgan offers two Premiers Crus in particular: a Nuits-Saint-Georges and a Pommard.
