MARCHAND-GRILLOT

Domaine Marchand-Grillot is the result of the marriage of two winegrowing families from the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. Now run by Marion and Etienne Marchand, the estate continues the work of seven generations of winegrowers: respect for Pinot noir, vines and terroirs. With this in mind, Etienne Marchand has introduced new organic practices in the vineyard. The vines are now cultivated without herbicides or synthetic pesticides.

Étienne and Marion Marchand pay unique attention to the estate's climates. Their aim is to produce great Burgundy wines that reveal all their richness.

Location of Domaine Marchand-Grillot

Domaine Marchand-Grillot has been located in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1950. The vineyard covers 12 hectares . These are spread over 49 parcels in five villages on the Côte de Nuits: Morey-Saint-Denis, Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, Brochon, Chambolle-Musigny and, of course, Gevrey-Chambertin.

Since 2020, Étienne and Marion Marchand have been using massal selection to create their own grafts. These come from a vineyard planted in 1903, located on a small 0.3 hectare plot in the Champerrier climat in Gevrey-Chambertin. At Domaine Marchand-Grillot, the future is built on the living heritage of past generations.

Domaine Marchand-Grillot wines

The wines produced by Étienne and Marion Marchand are aged for up to 18 months in oak barrels. Vinification is carried out entirely on the estate. Domaine Marchand-Grillot produces fine, elegant Burgundy wines renowned in France and around the world.

In particular, the domaine produces the Grand Cru Ruchottes-Chambertin and the two Premiers Crus Petite Chapelle and La Perrière in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation. Burgundy connoisseurs also appreciate the village appellation wines of Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny. The domaine also produces a Coteaux Bourguignons cuvée Bollery and a red Burgundy.
