BART

Domaine Bart has been in existence for six generations in Marsannay-la-Côte, Burgundy, near Dijon. Originally a 6-hectare estate, it was considerably enlarged in 1985, thanks to the inheritance of Domaine Clair-Daü. The latter was divided between several estates, including those of Bruno Clair and his cousin Martin Bart. Martin and his sister Odile Bart have been running the estate since 1982. The estate produces mainly red wine (on 18 hectares), as well as white wine and rosé.

Domaine Bart's geographical location

Domaine Bart covers over 20 hectares of vines in the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region. Vintage after vintage, it offers fine appellations such as Marsannay, Bonnes-Mares, Chambertin, Fixin, Santenay and Chambolle-Musigny. The estate's cuvées are appreciated for their consistency and quality. The wines produced at Domaine Bart are characterized by their excellent value for money. The watchword at Domaine Bart is respect for the terroir, which is cultivated using integrated farming methods. Most of the grape varieties used are Pinot Noir.

Domaine Bart wines

Domaine Bart produces two Grands Crus appellations : Bonnes-Mares and Chambertin Clos de Bèze. Both are fine, elegant wines. In the Marsannay appellation, the estate offers numerous climats such as Au Champ Salomon, Les Finottes, Les Longeroies and Les Échezots. A bottle of Marsanay les Longeroies is characterized by its purple color. A Fixin Premier Cru Les Hervelets has an intense flavor and fine tannins. Domaine Bart also produces an aromatic white wine based on Chardonnay. This is Marsannay Blanc Les Favières, a wine made from Chardonnay Musqué, a mutation of Chardonnay whose aromas are reminiscent of Muscat.
