GENOT-BOULANGER

The story of Domaine Génot-Boulanger began in 1974. Charles-Henri Génot and his wife Marie, née Boulanger, settled in Meursault. They acquired their first vines in Mercurey and continued to expand their Domaine. Aude and Guillaume Lavollée are the fourth generation to share their love of Burgundy wines. Together, they farm the terroirs of the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits and Côte Châlonnaise. 2018 marks the achievement of organic certification. The vines are worked by hand, with respect, rigor and precision, because that's where a great wine is born!

Location of the estate

Opposite Château de Citeaux, in the heart of Meursault, lie the roots of the Domaine. The 22-hectare vineyard stretches between Meursault, Mercurey, Volnay, Pommard, Chassagne-Montrachet, Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny, Puligny-Montrachet and Aloxe-Corton. This diversity of climates and the maturity of the vines represent tremendous potential for both white and red wines.

Domaine wines

Domaine wines are accessible when young, but reveal their full potential after 4 to 5 years of cellaring. In red, Beaune Premier Cru Les Montrevenot, or Pommard Premier Cru Clos Blanc 2012, wines with subtle, slightly tannic red fruit aromas. In white, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières or Meursault Les Vireuils are balanced, saline wines. Deep, promising whites.
