PATTES-LOUP - THOMAS PICO

The Pattes-Loup estate is managed by Thomas Pico. The son and grandson of winegrowers, he has inherited a passion for the trade. In 2005, Thomas Pico took over and converted eight hectares of the family estate to organic farming. True to his principles, he harvests by hand, limits yields and allows the terroir to express itself fully. Vinification is carried out using indigenous yeasts. Domaine Pattes-Loup wines are aged with little intervention. This meticulous work results in complex, luminous Burgundy wines.

Thomas Pico's Domaine Pattes-Loup is located 5 km from Chablis. In Courgis to be exact. It covers some ten hectares and includes the Chablis and Chablis premier cru appellations. Domaine Pattes-Loup vines are grown on Kimmeridgian soil, typical of this part of Burgundy. It's made up of clay-limestone marl in which small fossilized oysters have been deposited. This terroir gives Thomas Pico's Pattes-Loup white wines an elegant balance of minerality and delicacy. Chablis premiers crus Côte de Jouan and Butteaux are illustrious examples.

Domaine Pattes-Loup wines - Thomas Pico

Thomas Pico's Domaine Pattes-Loup white wines are made from Chardonnay grapes. Each cuvée has its own character. It perfectly reflects the identity of the terroir. The Chablis village appellation expresses notes of ripe fruit and cinnamon. This Burgundy white wine is gourmand on the palate, with aromas of bergamot, green apples and spices on the finish. Thomas Pico also produces Chablis premier cru appellations. The Chablis premier cru Côte de Jouan is luminous. Its nose is subtly lemony and flowery. On the palate, it is slender and chalky on the finish. Domaine Pattes-Loup products are sure to please discerning Burgundy wine lovers.
