ROEDERER LOUIS
Maison Louis Roederer is one of the last great independent, family-run Champagne houses. Its history and success are rooted in the Roederer family's unshakeable bond with its terroir, its vineyards and its champagne.
Since 1833, the family's heirs have made bold choices to develop their own vision of Champagne wine. Their commitment and uniqueness are reflected in their demand for Grands Crus, absolute respect for nature and massal selection of plants.
Geographical location of Maison Louis Roederer
Maison Louis Roederer owns 240 hectares of vines in the Marne Valley, Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. The vines are grown organically or biodynamically. This respect for biodiversity goes hand in hand with the maintenance of hedges and low walls on the estate. Beehives and fruit trees blend harmoniously into the plant heritage of the Roederer vineyard.
Each Maison Louis Roederer parcel is worked according to its own individuality. In this way, the character of each cru is preserved right through to blending. This meticulous work on vines and terroirs guarantees the quality of the House's champagnes.
Maison Louis Roederer wines
Maison Louis Roederer champagne wines are made from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. The house's prestige range is the Cuvée Cristal. Originally destined for the Tsars of Russia, this cuvée embodies the estate's reputation. In the same range, the Brut Premier symbolizes the continuity of Roederer champagnes.
Collection 244, in the Muli-millésimés range, also represents a singular Champagne: the blend is inspired by the tonality of the current year. Other Louis Roederer champagnes are divided between Millésimés (Vintage, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs) and Vins singuliers (Brut Nature).
