TRAPET PERE & FILS

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils operates one of Burgundy' s most prestigious vineyards: Gevrey-Chambertin. With three Grands Crus de Bourgogne, the domaine enjoys a reputation for excellence. The Trapet family has been working these vines since the late 19th century. Five generations later, the family tradition continues.

Location of Domaine Trapet Père et Fils

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils is located in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. Located 15 km south of Dijon, Gevrey-Chambertin is in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. The village is an essential stop on the Grands Crus route. This prestigious terroir benefits from a complex soil geology, dominated by marl and limestone. Domaine Trapet Père et Fils owns 23 parcels of Gevrey-Chambertin, for a total of almost seven hectares. The estate also includes several parcels in the Marsannay and Côte de Nuits villages appellations.

Domaine Trapet Père et Fils wines

The vines of Domaine Trapet Père et Fils are cultivated biodynamically and harvested by hand. Half of the vinification is carried out using whole bunches. The domaine produces mainly red wines from pinot noir grapes. Only the red Burgundy cuvée "a minima" incorporates Gamay.

The domaine offers three wines classified as Grands Crus de Bourgogne: Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin and Chapelle-Chambertin. These exceptional crus are long-keeping wines. The excellence of Domaine Trapet is also reflected in three Gevrey-Chambertin premiers crus: Gevrey-Chambertin Petite-Chapelle, Clos-Prieur and Capita. The Domaine Trapet Père et Fils cellar is completed by four wines under village appellations. One Gervey-Chambertin, two Marsannay, red and white, and one Côte de Nuits village. The domaine also offers white and red Burgundy.
